Well Done Cutteslowe Primary!

Nicola was delighted to visit Cutteslowe Primary School in North Oxford to congratulate them on their fantastic progress after they received a ‘Good’ rating in their first Ofsted inspection since the school was placed in special measures.

Cutteslowe Primary joined the Cherwell School Academy Trust in 2013.

Nicola met with the Head, Jon Gray, teachers, staff and pupils as she heard that inspectors had praised the quality of teaching, early years provision, the behaviour of pupils and the role of governors.

Alongside the hard won improvements led by the whole staff, the head was clear that the impressive turnaround was down to new facilities, new techniques like the Big Write and also the Oxfordshire Reading Campaign.
