Nicola’s Small Business Awards

Each year Nicola is proud to launch her Shop Local Campaign, and reward hard-working local shop owners with her Small Business Awards. The feedback Nicola receives and enthusiasm in presenting the awards is testament to the dedication of business owners and loyalty of the customers who shop locally.

This year has been another resounding success, and the results have now been announced:

The results are as follows:


***Abingdon’s Favourite Small Shop Award***

Winner: Galaxy Techn0

Runners Up (joint): The Gift Centre/ Abingdon Gallery, Masons and Patiserie Pascal

***Summertown’s Favourite Small Shop Award***

                     Winner: LBs

Runners Up: Excel Dry Cleaning & Gatineau

 ***Botley’s Favourite Small Shop Award***

Winner: AJ Brock Butchers

Runners Up: Cafe Aloha & Hair Therapy           

              ***Kidlington’s Favourite Small Shop Award***          

Winner: Anemone Florists

   Runners Up: House of Cards & Evolution Reptiles


Nicola has been out and about presenting the winners with their prizes, meeting staff and seeing first hand why these small business are so popular with locals.

Nicola says: I am proud to support Oxford and Abingdon’s thriving small businesses, they truly are the lifeblood of the local economy. The Shop Local campaign and Small Business Awards show the how the hard work pays off as locals value their small businesses.

 It is always such a pleasure to visit these businesses, meet staff and customers, and present the prizes.
