Nicola asks Minister to answer to constituents on Euratom withdrawal

Nicola has challenged Robin Walker MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union, on the Government’s decision to withdraw from Euratom, which funds and coordinates nuclear research.

She shares the concerns of many of her constituents and those in the research community about the implications of leaving the European Atomic Energy Community, particularly as membership of Euratom enables the UK to host the vital JET project at Culham in Oxfordshire, and has asked the Minister to meet with her and those constituents employed at Culham to discuss the situation further.
