Nicola joined volunteers, patients and locals at the grand re-opening of the Headway Activity & Rehabilitation Centre in Kennington to celebrate the re-vamp and hear about the new facilities.
Headway has undergone a major transformation, with new equipment, outdoor space, a Neurological Physiotherapy Gym, Relaxation Room and ‘Café Neuro’. Baroness Susan Greenfield formally cut the Rippon to mark the Centre open, and Nicola toured the Centre with CEO Jamie Mills and Director of Adult Social Services at Oxfordshire County Council, Kate Terroni, to hear about the hard work going in to the upgrade and how volunteers from the Oxfordshire Business Network came to help lay the patio.
Nicola says: I am always proud to support Headway and even more so today seeing this fantastic new rehabilitation centre. Headway has a team of committed volunteers who provide invaluable support to those who have suffered brain injury, and now the transformed Activity & Rehabilitation Centre will mean they can offer a far greater range of more personal, effective support to those who need it most.
