Local school fundraising pays off

Nicola visited the brand new Cumnor pre-school nursery on the afternoon of Friday 27th November, where she met with staff, parents and children who had all played their part in fundraising for the new building.

She was delighted to be given a tour around the new building, and hear all about the ups and downs of the fundraising and building project over the last few years and how in the end it had all paid off.

The old building was completely refurbished after an impressive £60,000 was raised by the school committee, staff and parents. As a result, the children now have a smart, safe building that is fit for purpose.

Nicola also met the building’s Trustees, Committee members, the Cumnor vicar, and project manager Ian Watson of JC buildings.

Nicola said I am pleased to be at Cumnor pre-school nursery today, I know how just much hard work has gone in to funding and refurbishing the nursery – all built by local builders and tradesmen. It is a great achievement for all involved.
