Buzzing Beer Festival at the General Elliot

Following a hard fought local campaign the General Elliot in South Hinksey reopened some months ago and is now going from strength to strength if this weekend’s packed Beer and Jazz Festival is anything to go by.

Nicola stopped by to sample some of the exceptional local beers (Abingdon’s Loose Cannon a firm favourite with locals), listen to some fine Jazz and try her hand as pub landlord for the afternoon – tapping a keg, pulling some pints and chatting with the punters.

Nicola says: It’s clear from my efforts today that I had best not give up my day job but I’m happy to say that the clear consensus from everyone I spoke to this afternoon is that not only has the Festival had been a roaring success but so is the General Elliot.
